Bases & Skids

Bases, as well as skids, typically have their dimensions established by the equipment resting on them; what the base will rest on or be mounted to also plays a large factor in its design and the uses are nearly endless.  Both skids and bases may also vary in material composition (such as carbon steel, stainless steel, or a combination of the two), paint finish and color, etc.

Options include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Generator Base

  • Utility Base

  • Drag Skid

  • Roller Skid

  • Etc.

Generator bases are used to assist in mounting generator components—such as engines and sound attenuating enclosures— to fuel storage tank or mounting to fixed locations, such as concrete pads.

Skids are designed to mount under equipment in order to protect said equipment from damage when moving it from place to place, as may be necessary.  Adding lifting brackets help move them when pushing, pulling or dragging them is not an option.
