Our painting processes include a full chemical bath that removes dirt and other debris, as well as creates a surface most suitable for applying primer and paint. Once the primer coat has been applied (with the additional option of using a high-zinc version), we then use the specified Enamel or Epoxy paint to protect the tank's surface while adding the desired color and/or texture.
At ZBM, we employ both Metal and Tungsten (MIG and TIG) welding for our projects. Depending on the tasks for any given project, one or both methods may be applied to get the most optimal results. MIG welding itself is then further broken down on our welding shop floor with the use of continuous and pulse welding machines in order to fine tune our work that much more.
The methods for forming metal are many. However, the methods we enlist at our facilities are localized to bending material (example: sheet metal for rectangular housing or tubing for power-frames) and rolling material (example: sheet metal for circular housing or heavy-duty ducting). Our shearing process is no longer designated to its own machine and is relegated to laser or plasma-cutting due to the efficiency of modern cutting tables.
Our current capabilities include both laser and plasma for cutting product parts (depending on the project's needs), with precedence given to laser-cutting due to its efficiency and precision cuts. Please see 'Our Equipment' for more information on our plasma and laser-cutting equipment.
Our design engineers work with each customer to achieve their desired end-results throughout the entire drawing process. If the engineers can find a way to save the customer money—while adhering to ZBM's high standards for quality and durability—they are always happy to inform the customer of their potential savings.
ZBM's quoting software is designed in-house and with it's customers in mind. In order to get the initial quoted price as close as can be done before a drawing is warranted, we strive to ensure that each and every bend, cut and weld is accounted for during this phase. Best yet, preliminary quotes are free!
